We use high quality clear glass that goes through a toughening or tempering process. This greatly increases the ability of the glass to resist impact and high-temperatures, making it ideal for use on Gas Stoves. In the event of breakage, toughened glass does not break it into sharp pieces, instead it breaks into pieces with blunt edges to prevent any injuries.
